Dansm's Sea Kayaking Page
They're bound to go
And the sun may find me running after them
Seeing something far away
We're bound to go

-- Jackson Browne, From Silver Lake, 1972

A kayaker's journal. The window into a paddler's mind and heart. On this page I share my adventures: the sights, people, wildlife, and mishaps that are requisite parts of any kayaker's experiences. In introducing this new, simpler trip report format it is my intention to include all my trips. Therefore, you'll likely get an equal number of freshwater and ocean paddles from across New England. I hope you enjoy this glimpse through my eyes.

When planning any trip, including trips based on my descriptions, please remember that the ocean, or any other large body of water, is not a place to lull yourself into a sense of security. The ocean can kill you. BE CAREFUL. LEARN ABOUT THE OCEAN. KNOW YOUR LIMITS. This doesn't mean kayaking can't be fun. Being safe is the ONLY way kayaking can be fun.
