New England Sea Kayaker is a new, free online magazine designed by New England paddlers for New England paddlers. Five times each year, we will bring you information, instruction, and helpful hints that will improve your skills, broaden your horizons, and help you make the most of sea kayaking.
Each issue will contain one or two feature articles, plus several regular departments covering specific aspects of kayaking: instruction, trip planning, etc.
For example, this issue's feature article is titled "Cold-Water Paddling", and will cover the clothing, preparation, and skills needed to paddle when the water temperature drops below 60 degrees.
Each series discusses a particular topic in the world of New England sea kayaking. "The Sea" will allow you to become more familiar with our restless oceans, as in this issue's article entitled "Tides and Tide Prediction". "Wonderlands" describes a special place along the New England coast, like Thacher Island off Rockport, Mass., and tells you how to get there.
Additionally, each New England Sea Kayaker issue will feature the "Kayaker's Corner," a place for quick tips and hints. Look for it in the upper right corner of the front page.
Speaking of the front page, links to all the articles in each issue can be found in the left panel. Especially interesting articles will be featured in the main window so readers can preview before reading.
